What is the best wax for my car?

Many customers contact us asking which is the most suitable wax for painting your car. For this reason to help and remove this doubt, I am doing this post looking to differentiate the 3 main categories automotive wax. Find more here: best car wax for white cars

Remembering, if there is any doubt just comment here in the post.

The 3 main categories of wax are:

Synthetic Waxes

Carnauba Waxes

Cleaner Wax

Synthetic Waxes

Synthetic waxes have their composition entirely created by man, they have no natural components. Its composition is made up of tens of thousands of synthetic polymers that fuse and form a protection over the painting.

Easy to apply, it provides protection over the paint superior to that of carnauba. Due to its composition, the synthetic wax rests on the car's paint, promoting a deep high gloss, let's say it would be a kind of a thin layer of colorless glass on the paint. Reflections are sharper, like a mirror.

Its great advantage is the durability applied to the car and water repellency. Its durability is around 4 months depending on the conditions of use and maintenance.

Ideal for those who want practicality, low maintenance and extreme shine.

When I refer to conditions of use and maintenance, I mean the type of shampoo used in the washes, frequency of the washes, if it is exposed to the weather for a long time and if it receives some extra protection like some spray wax between the washes.

Features

- High durability

- High performance

- Deep shine

Carnauba Waxes

These waxes are composed of natural ingredients such as vegetable oils and the carnauba itself usually extracted from our own country from the tree known as the “tree of life” that it produces in the Northeast region of the country.

We can say that these waxes are the darlings of every car lover because, they manage to deliver a high gloss power, it seems to mix the painting, delivering a warm and deep shine and mainly with a wet aspect.

Its durability is 7 to 8 weeks, much less than a synthetic wax, however its protective barrier is stronger than that of a synthetic wax.

Features

- High performance

- Wet shine

- High protection

Cleaner Wax

As the name suggests, Cleaner Waxes or Cleaner Waxes are waxes that will clean the paint, removing dirt and contaminants that shampoos do not remove. We can say that it is a versatile 3 in 1 wax, CLEAN, POLISH and PROTECT the painting in one step.

The contaminants I refer to are light stains, fine scratches and unwanted beret marks. This is the best-selling car wash wax as it is a quick wax that has a very satisfying final effect at a relatively low cost.

Its durability in painting is low compared to other waxes, on average of 30 days, however its cleaning effect remains. It is very interesting to combine this wax with the others, both carnauba and synthetic, intensifying the shine and protection.

Features

- Removes contaminants

- Gives shine and protection

Conclusion

As we can see, there are some differences and qualities between the types of wax. What are you looking for?

Wet shine? Deep shine? Greater protection? Contaminant removal?

The combination of them is a very cool solution. Some car washes sell “crystallization” which is nothing more than the application of a cleaning wax in combination with a synthetic wax. TIP

One thing is certain, with any of the three you will be well served and protected. In addition to protecting and giving shine, the waxes have an excellent hydrophobic power or water repellency.
